PowerPoint slides - On acceleration and the speed of change

These slides are from the Masterclass. They show the Three Fundamental Questions of Transformational Presence (TP) and the TP Model. They also address how the speed of change has become breath taking. To thrive, we must meet this acceleration in our external world with deceleration in our internal world. Pausing, slowing down, practicing presence and cultivating inner stillness are essential for thriving in these tumultuous times.

Exercise: Experiencing Presence

This short exercise allows you to experience being present in the here and now and what effect that has on your awareness, what you notice and the information you pick up.

Exercise: The Being behind the Doing – Presence behind the Action

This Transformational Presence exercise invites you to explore who you are ‘being’ while you are doing what you are doing. What is the impact of the quality of your Presence?

Exercise: Vertical and Horizontal Planes of Awareness Movement Exercise

Transformational Presence brings the vertical (presence, being) and the horizontal (action, doing) together in partnership for the most appropriate and effective response to what is happening in any particular moment. The key is that presence and awareness come before action. The following exercise can help you physically experience this partnership, through movement. It is also an exercise that can be energising and a great way to either start your day or revitalise yourself, when you are feeling tired or drained.

Exercise: Presence-Action Partnership

The Presence-Action Partnership framework helps you to get to both presence and appropriate action quickly. It helps you to recognize that the horizontal needs the vertical (action needs presence) in order to bring any vision to reality, while at the same time, the vertical needs the horizontal (presence needs action). This is a Transformational Presence based framework.

Five minute practice - Point of stillness

This five minute practice invites you to become fully present and from there, to connect to that point of stillness inside of you. That place in you that is quiet and still and safe. The place that is always there inside of you, even if you sometimes lose connection with it.

Monday Meditation - Vertical presence and horizontal action

This Transformational Presence exercise allows you to experience the partnership of the Vertical Presence or Being and the Horizontal Action or Doing, through physical movement.

Monday Meditation - Presence, stillness and the three fundamental questions on a topic of your choice

This meditation exercise invites you into becoming fully present and connecting with your own point of stillness. From there, you practice applying the Three Fundamental Questions (from Transformational Presence) to a topic that is asking for attention.

Monday Meditation - Cellular breathing

This Transformational Presence meditative exercise is a simple yet powerful way to connect with both yourself and with something greater than yourself; through your breath. It is a great way to ground yourself, energize yourself, sharpen your senses, become more alert and at the same time, feel very connected to your surroundings.

These slides are on the theme of listening to life, covering:- The six elements of listening (APRiCoT) - The four levels of listening - What we need to cultivate in order to really listen to life

Exercise: See and Sense Everything

This Transformational Presence exercise is a simple yet powerful experiential introduction to the capacities and conditions that are required for listening to life.

Exercise - The Three Intelligences Which one is your Default Inner Leader?

Many of the old wisdom traditions and teachings spoke of three different intelligences within ourselves. For convenience and clarity, we call them within Transformational Presence: head, heart and belly. Every intelligence gives us different perspectives and insights about situations, challenges and possibilities. The intelligences are all unique and different and, at the same time, inextricably linked. In this Transformational Presence framework, you explore a situation, decision or project you are involved with right now - maybe something where you are feeling some inner conflict, or where you are feeling a bit stuck - maybe something where you would like to gain more clarity and understanding.

Exercise - The Body Knows

Whole-Being Awareness calls on the wisdom and knowledge of the body for insight and guidance. It is amazing how much the body knows – how much we know – if we just slow down enough to pay attention. This Transformational Presence framework is particularly applicable for those times when you feel stuck in a situation or circumstance and/ or you are having difficulty getting past intellectual analysis. In other words, you are thinking too much, may be going around in circles in your mind, and can’t seem to tap into your greater intuitive mind.

Five minute practice - Listen to life

This simple five minute practice invites you to work with the Three Fundamental Questions from the Transformational Presence approach, to listen to life. These questions help you to tune in to what the activities and projects of your day are asking of you.

Monday Meditation - Listen to life

This meditative exercise is an invitation to listen to life, tuning in to: - An opportunity or challenge - A goal or tangible project - A relationship that is important to youClosely based on the Transformational Presence exercise 'Letting Life Talk To You"

Monday Meditation - Dialogue with your future self

Monday Meditation - Dialogue with your three intelligences

You can also work with a situation where you are feeling stuck, or where you know exactly what to do, but you are just not taking that action.

Exercise: Beyond the Tension of Duality Stretching Toward a Bigger Vision

This Transformational Presence framework helps us to discover the Potential in a situation where there is duality, opposing approaches or conflict. It is a simple and powerful way to help us connect with the Potential beyond the tension of duality, conflict and drama. It is easy to get caught in an either-or perspective when facing challenges and decisions. However the tension itself points to there being something that we are not yet sensing and seeing – something beyond our current thought process. This framework helps us to sense into something beyond our current imagination or thought process.

Exercise: Space sensing for discovering the potential in a situation

This Transformational Presence exercise offers a way to sense into and identify the potential in a situation or project, using space sensing.

Five minute practice - From entangled to engaged

This practice helps you to create a kind inner space of awareness for yourself, when you notice that you have become entangled in your circumstances. When things are tough, or we are triggered, we often react from a place of conditioned, knee-jerk reaction. Entangled! This is very human.Creating a kind space of inner awareness, can help us to shift to a place of conscious response. Engaged, no longer entangled.

Monday Meditation - From entangled to engaged and effective action

In order to release the potential in the drama/ in your circumstance, it is necessary to first create a sense of conscious inner space - detangling from what's happening so that we can engage from a place of response, rather than conditioned, knee-jerk reaction. This meditative exercise invites you to explore and shift from:- Being entangled with your external world (conditioned reaction) to - Being engaged with what's happening (enabling conscious response) to - Taking effective action in the form of next steps
